annoyed and frustrated.
thanks for meddling.
nope, i don't forgive or forget.
thanks for putting a wedge there.
nope, i won't forget it.
nope, i don't forget it.

finally
UHC finally let me get my medicine. i had dan working on it and the nurse at the derm's office.
the derm's office had to request a quantity authorization. or hell, i dunno, somebody needed that for me to get my drugs.
thursday it finally happened. dan said he kicked some ass and also told UHC/speciality pharmacy i wouldn't answer their dumbass questions. it's 3 questions
do you take your medicine on time?
do you take your medicine at the right time?
have you ever missed a dose?
excuse me, but 1) they don't ask me this when i get my med's from walgreens. 2) they should know the answer since i order them as soon as i can. 3) it's not like i can go and sell this shit on the street corner, because it needs to be in the fridge and who wants to put this shit in them that doesn't give a high?
i had trained them not to ask me cause i'd give him horrible answers. so i don't know why they asked dan, but he said they shouldn't ask me that again. ever. LOL
UHC you want to play games, well you're going to get them right back.
so now i have my derm appt. for dec. 1. it'll be a whole year since i've seen him. that is a first since i've been diagnosed with psoriasis!! i'm really proud of that milestone! it's a good thing because he's in baton rouge and it's kind of a pain to go that way, but he is wonderful.
today thomas and i have been watching the golf channel...nothing unusual there...but today the tournament is at disney! we've gotten to see a few snippets of the park which make us happy!
and i've gotten the den cleaned. there were toys everywhere! i finally cleaned the rest of the dvd's out from under our chaise. it kept them safe from the kids.
i swiffered too. i think they must have changed the swiffer liquid. the floor feels different than it use to with it. i don't wanna mop, but i may have too.
also got most of the kitchen cleaned up. if i find another randomly placed empty walmart bag on the counter i'm going to scream. how do they just end up everywhere? i pitch them as soon as i unpack the groceries.
but the catchall shelf. i hate it with a passion. i want to take it off, but i'm sure that's the thing holding the entire house up. oh wait, that's the bar in the windowsill of a kitchen window.
this shelf piles up all sorts of shit. it's great when we have a party, because we can set food trays there, but it's really a pain in the ass all the other times. idk what to do to keep it cleaned off. so yet again, it's just staring at me and i don't have the energy to go and clean it off. my fingers also decided to really stop working, so i guess the shelf will just have to keep staring.

our shitty healthcare
united healthcare is a bunch of ...hmm... insert long string of four letter words...
i have to order my enbrel through the specialty pharmacy. pain in the ass. there's always some sort of problem or issue that comes up. last week i got the call to order my drug. don't get me started on all the damn styrofoam ice chests/dry ice packs/cardboard boxes that get sent to my house. because that is so cost effective...not to mention it comes UPS....yes cost effective. not going to walgreens 2 minutes away, noooo that's not cost effective and easy. noooo.
seems UHC, medco, specialty pharmacy all think this is some sort of made up thing on my part and i don't need that much medicine. so according to these assholes they've rejected my RX for 50 ml of enbrel, but i can have 25ml. yes, because 100 ml a week to 50ml is the same thing. according to them.
they say i've maxed out my (could happen to anybody really) allotment of 50 ml for the year. they don't believe anybody could be that bad off.
excuse the fuck out of me UHC/medco/specialty pharmacy.
when in hell were you in my dr's office?
when in hell were you in my bedroom while i just laid in bed and didn't sleep because it hurt so much?
when in hell did you get your MD?
UHC never gave a fuck when they fucked up our co-pays and owed us money for the last oh...7/8 months. but yeah, deny the right dosage of medicine to somebody that needs it. sounds perfectly normal. assholes.
so now i wait. endless phone calls to find out why and how to fix this, because in our insurance packet, there is no mention of not being able to get the same amount all year round. and they want to charge me if i get my normal dose. $397. and i've met all my deductibles. biggest fucking assholes.
did i mention how much i hate UHC? did i mention how they're still processing claims from when i had thomas 2 years ago? i figure i'll still be getting this is not a bill bills when he's 5.
maybe tomorrow, after a week of all this shit going on i'll be able to order my drug. maybe.
the 25ml is also a syringe. wtf? this is so not going to go well. that's the only way it comes in that dosage.
let my spots come back UHC, that will be your asses. i will call you everyday and tell you what complete fucktards you are and that i hope you die of some horrible slow painful disease. because hey, you're doing the same to me.
literally.

updates
it sure has been awhile since i updated!
end of september was great! goo goo dolls in concert! it had been almost 4 years to the day since i had last seen my boys. john had too much make-up on though. they were so good and it was over way too fast, especially since it had been 4 years. i can still see that day 4 years ago, the day they re-opened the superdome. that was magic! and i totally can't listen to better days without thinking of how there was not a dry eye in the audience at the dome that day. makes me teary too!
after goo, we headed down to tampa for dan's band...rush. the weather was great for an outdoor arena. the concert was great. my first rush concert was in 1975 when they opened for aerosmith. that's all the lady behind us would tell us. she was pretty coherent for everything else though. idk why she said that every 5 minutes.
then it was back up to orlando for disney! it was great. thomas was so much fun to watch on rides/shows. he took everything in and was soooo good. he didn't like 'face' characters...mulan, cinderella, prince charming, evil step sisters. he was shy with stitch, donald and daisy. he came out of his shell with goofy, pluto, mickey and minnie. mickey and minnie were probably the best experiences, he was so smiley and happy! he just watched and stared at lightening mcqueen and mater. they made vroom noises and their eye's moved.
dan and i spent most of our spending money on food and wine festival food. canada's cheddar cheese soup is always on the top of my list. but i have to say argentina's grilled beef skewer with chimichurri sauce and Boniato purée was just to die for!
my favorite drink is so hard to say, the frozen bacardi torched cherry colada from puerto rico. i really don't like cherry, but omg, fabulous! i wish i had a much bigger one then the little sample size. for non-alcoholic was italy's primavera fruit smoothie. yum!
epcot at food and wine fest is my favorite time. i've never been that big a fan of that park. but i've got a new appreciation for the park. especially since we've been trying different restaurants when we go. this year we chose coral reef in the living seas pavillion. it was good! we got so much food! we cashed in our change jar and that paid for almost the entire meal. LOL even little man ate his mickey shaped pizza.
the mickey shaped pizza must have crack in them! he would eat those whenever we saw them on the menu.
at MGM, sorry, that park will always be mgm to me, we took thomas on the great movie ride. it was the first ride of the trip and his face was priceless! lots of ooooh's. he was just wonderful to see. perfect age. actually last year at 9 months old was perfect also.
our magic kingdom day didn't start out too magical. we stayed off grounds, so we drove everyday...well as we're going through the magical gates saying welcome my camera decides it's not going to open. i keep playing with it and cursing it and it wouldn't do anything but turn on, make a noise and then shut off. did i mention it was also about 59 degrees that morning and we were in shorts?
so for an hour we sat outside the front of the park waiting for it to open and my camera is dead. my most favorite place and my camera is dead. thomas and i separated from the group and i went to the camera emporium shop. $20 for 39 exposures on a disposable camera. i was desperate. i didn't get as many pics as i would have liked, but i got the important ones of thomas and mickey!
magic kingdom was so much fun too! thomas enjoyed those rides, hell i love those rides too. i hate coasters so the sit in a boat and watch things kinda rides are for me. it was crazy how much construction is going on! i can't wait to go back and see it all! ok, hopefully we'll be back before it's open and then after it's opened.
we also got to hang out and see tommy and ashley. we all watched the electrical light parade. they are so cute! when we left, i went to walmart and bought a new digital cam. sony sureshot 14.1 megapixels. i'm in love with it!
animal kingdom was fine. it's really not my favorite. the animal trails are great and we found thomas didn't want to leave the fish tanks. he loved the animals and safari. guess we need to go to the zoo/aquarium more often. that park also tires me out more. the other 3 parks can fit in that 1 park with room left over. plus the hills and pushing a 25lb child = worn out mommy!
since we've come home, i daydream a lot about moving down there. i love that area. it's so much fun and there's so much to do there. did i mention they also have nice shopping areas? not just 1 mall like this shitty city. there's just so much awesomeness about orlando.
we also celebrated our first trick or treating! thomas was a golfer. he loves golf. we didn't really do anything last year, so we actually hit a few streets this year. so much fun! thomas loves his golfer's costume.
the 1st nite we were in the house in orlando, i woke up at 5 a.m. and there he was, wide awake laying between dan's legs watching golf on the golf channel. i really wish i had thought to get my camera at that moment, but i really had to pee!
so being a golfer for halloween was an easy choice. he came in 2nd place at the costume contest at the hornets game. $150 plus 2 tickets to the game next week.
his birthday will be golf themed. buying up little things here and there. brought him to academy sports and they have a whole little set up for golf. he was trying all the big people clubs until i found an under 5 club. yes it came home with us, cause it was only $5. leaving academy wasn't very much fun. bloody murder screaming for about 10 minutes.
and being the awesome me told dan that now we had to move to fl because that's where alllllll the pro golfers live and play.
today we went and took 2 year pictures, wearing his golf costume. former co-worker is going to be a pro photog and wanted kid pics. i saw a little preview and they were good!
i just wish dan could have enjoyed it more because he was fighting another losing battle on the phone. we're still horrible parents, our son is still retarded, as is my family and we're not doing anything with our child and well the list goes on and on. i'm surprised CPS hasn't been called on us we're so horrible. i'm completely annoyed and pissed and if it continues, i will be opening my mouth and this person won't ever have to see thomas again. do not piss thomas' mommy off. you have no clue evidently. and don't think an i'm sorry will solve it, because no it won't and no i don't forgive or forget. and if you continue to open your mouth and cause shit, i will say who you are. because you should be damned ashamed of yourself for pissing us both off.
and that's about all that's happened in the last 2 months. and how in a month and a week will i have a 2 year old?! i can't believe my little man is so big.

dan
my cute hubby is in vegas this week. it's like the mothership called him home! he loves to gamble and has never been to vegas. he's having a great time so far.
i turned him on to the food and wine festival at epcot last year. now i don't think i'll ever go back to disney in january for my birthday cause of our love of food and wine fest.
now i dunno if i'll ever get him to go back to disney... LOL
i'm so glad he's having a great time! we miss him though. the house is so quiet. seriously quiet. haha i didn't know he was that loud. :D
yesterday thomas, mom and i went out to lakeside to get a new power cord for my laptop. i was so excited that they're covered by apple care!
then we had beignets with the twins. thomas' first beignet and plate of powdered sugar. looked like somebody hit him with a powder puff. there was powdered sugar everywhere.
and that's when it happened... powdered sugar coma!
we left the mall at 7 and he was asleep in the car. brought him inside, put him on the recliner and he was still asleep. 10 pm he popped up. he was awake for about 2 hours before i held him down to go to sleep.
now he's watching football with the sound on mute. i thought i'd get away from football since dan isn't here.
and finally.... 19 days until we leave for disney! yay!! so excited! need to start gathering everything to pack!

2005
5 years ago today i was at work not even realizing a major storm was heading this way. not until i got to work and was told...MOVE EVERYTHING TO THE BACK OF THE STORE. front was all windows. i called my mom and said, there's a storm? she said yeah. i said i guess we need to leave. both of us dreading it. called jody and said we're coming up! it's great that her and neil take in the refugee's every time a storm is coming.
i got off work around noon and we were on the road by 3 pm or so. we brought 3 days worth of clothes, the cats and my water frogs. the same thing we brought the year before. only this time we didn't leave after 3 days. we left somewhere in the middle of oct., 5 weeks after we left.
after dealing with stupid allstate bitches (wanting me to prove i'm an only child. wtf?! and wanting to talk to my dad after me repeatedly saying HE'S DEAD, would you like to have a seance, i'll bring his ashes.) and fema people, i just wanted to go home. as much as i dislike new orleans a lot of the time, i know what it means....
gettin' our shots so we could stomp through the nasty house...tetanus shot and hep b, i think. that meant for about 2 weeks later, i couldn't lift either one of my arms up higher than my boobs.

this was the decorative metal on the neighbors screen door. i loved the way it twisted. i should have taken it for art.
NO...idk why, but this is just an odd one. that was the 2nd floor too.
this is the river road levee heading towards the algiers/chalmette ferry. all of the appliances ended up there. look...more red flags!
the last time i went back to the house was the day i sold it in '07. i haven't been back since. maybe when thomas is old enough to understand, i'll venture back and show him, until then, i can't even thing about it without tearing up.
dan and i went down there with his cousin and her bf back in june. i was really surprised to see how much life there is down there. if i make it to chalmette, it's just over the ferry to buy roast beef and gravy at jeanfreau's. seeing all the growth from what had happened was amazing. you should go to rocky and carlos' and then head to jeanfreau's to get you some sliced garlic roast beef, gravy and some french bread. heaven!
even though i dislike the city most every day, i'm proud to say i'm from new orleans AND that there's a little slice of chalmation in me!
so there...my remembrance of the shitty 2005 year.
now can we please stop showing it on t.v.?

so this is what we came home to find...
the back of our house. big branch on the house. no damage. dunno how that happened.
our mighty oak that was shredded. you have to turn sideways :P
superdome.
welcome to st. bernard parish....checkpoint to make sure you were a resident and not looking to cause trouble.
the first look inside. the yellow is the kitchen. my ass is heading into where the table was. to the right was the utility room. then the main hallway...
outside.
the dreaded x
that white thing is the fridge. the table was to the right and the brown is the wall cabinets. also made the mistake of nudging the fridge. i can't even begin to describe the smell. all of a sudden the water started to flood out of it. *gag*
that would be a look into the attic with a bucket in the most interesting position. see the cute little pattern...that was my crib bumpers!
utility room behind the door. looking outside from the hallway
the ugliest damn lamp. how it survived INTACT i dunno. i should have saved that ugly ass globe, but i threw it out.
dresser. check the lamp on top. it was in the wall, but just kinda dangling there.
the bathroom, complete with awesome plastic curtains. it was such a 50's bathroom, complete with pink tiles in the shape of a flower on the floor. rest of the floor was the blue tiles.
toy in the tree in the backyard
backyard looking towards the street.
laplace st
our fridge. they put cute little red flags on all of them. idk why they had to do that. seems like wasteful money to me to buy red flags. haha we already knew it stunk, i don't know why they'd need a warning sign for that.
gettin' our shots so we could stomp through the nasty house...tetanus shot and hep b, i think. that meant for about 2 weeks later, i couldn't lift either one of my arms up higher than my boobs.
yup...that's the HS stadium where i got shot! i hope i never have to experience a "field" hospital again.
this kinda stuff fascinated me. i saw some cars just "hooked" on a fence by a bumper. how does that happen and how does that stay like that??
water lines on the front entrance. there was about 7 to 8 feet of water. not to mention i was in the oil spill area. thanks murphy oil for paying for my wedding.
my 1st ever pair of crocs that i got while we evacuated. i didn't realize they were the same color as the kitchen. and then i didn't realize it when i painted the bathroom in our house that it's the same kinda yellow. it reminds me of good times in that kitchen.
this was the decorative metal on the neighbors screen door. i loved the way it twisted. i should have taken it for art.
strange place to have your boat, but this was by the hospital, so i'm sure it worked perfectly at that height during the storm.
NO...idk why, but this is just an odd one. that was the 2nd floor too.
this is the river road levee heading towards the algiers/chalmette ferry. all of the appliances ended up there. look...more red flags!
the last time i went back to the house was the day i sold it in '07. i haven't been back since. maybe when thomas is old enough to understand, i'll venture back and show him, until then, i can't even thing about it without tearing up.
dan and i went down there with his cousin and her bf back in june. i was really surprised to see how much life there is down there. if i make it to chalmette, it's just over the ferry to buy roast beef and gravy at jeanfreau's. seeing all the growth from what had happened was amazing. you should go to rocky and carlos' and then head to jeanfreau's to get you some sliced garlic roast beef, gravy and some french bread. heaven!
even though i dislike the city most every day, i'm proud to say i'm from new orleans AND that there's a little slice of chalmation in me!
so there...my remembrance of the shitty 2005 year.
now can we please stop showing it on t.v.?

magic number 9
so there's not much going on here. i've got a big ole fat index finger from a crack on the joint. i can hardly bend it. it sucks to type.
this weekend was spent doing laundry. 2 baskets and 3 bags full. there is still 2 loads that need to be folded. it's weird having everything so full. lol
sunday was spent sewing our mickey head shirts for tie dying.
9 white shirts
9 traces of the classic 3 bubble mickey head
9 shirts to sew with dental floss around the mickey head
9 shirts for me to go nooooo sushi, you can't lick the dental floss
9 shirts for me to gather and tie the strings together.
9 shirts that have the cutest little gathered mickey head
9 shirts that need to have rubber bands placed on them
9 shirts that have to be tie dyed!
so after i gather and tie the dental floss and wrap the rubber band under that gathered mickey head, i should have a nice outline of a solid mickey head in one color and the rest of the shirt the normal tie dye.
last year was my first try and we came out with blue blobs that should have been mickey heads. fabric paint solved that problem! as you can sorta see here....excuse the dole whip. mmmmm!!
so excited! 40 something days left!
just looking at pics from last year, thomas was so little! i can't wait to see him this year running around. hopefully we won't have another meltdown with princesses or mickey. lol
one of my favorites...

thomas
let's see...peggy left town :( i miss having her here! she's so good with thomas. got him some reallly cute clothes. sushi misses her more though. my girl LOVES her granny annie. sushi also loves my mom. LOVES HER. i don't know what it is, but the love she has borders on the obnoxious. lol sushi really is the 1st child who does not like sharing her grandmother, even with her little brother, who she loves dearly.
thomas is growing by leaps and bounds! i swear he's grown like a weed the last month! i love being able to come home at lunch to see him. lately he's been giving the most awesomest hugs and snuggles and not wanting me to leave. breaks my heart!
he's also discovered m&m's! thanks mom! and hot dogs. that was about a month ago. i didn't realize i had kept hotdogs from him. the all beef with cheese in them. MMMMM. and yes, he goes mmmmm as he's about to eat. he's also fond of shrimp. my good little man!
he doesn't like normal kid things. he doesn't eat cheese...like kraft singles. what kid doesn't eat that?! or mac and cheese?! he loves edamamé though. how many kids eat that?! he's a big chicken and meat man though! loves his carbs too. that's usually the 1st thing he goes for on his plate.
also newly discovered things are crayons. and putting change in the big disney fund change jar. and one of the biggest things...playing in his room! i don't know why that was such a hard thing for him. he'd cry and cry if i left him in there with all his toys! that's pretty horrible, i know.
he's such an awesome little boy. we're still trying to get him to talk. he's figured out if he points or says GAAAA we know what he wants. dr's not worried, so neither are we. wish other people would butt out about it too.
i'm still not over somebody calling us horrible parents. it still pisses me the fuck off. we're awesome and doing our best. you can see by all the pictures that he's just the worst treated kid who gets no attention. *big fucking eye roll* yes i hold grudges and yes i'm still pissed a month later. don't fuck with us like that. the apology was less than short on sorry.
we love our little man and that really brought us down. he's the best thing ever and i will not allow anybody to say shit like that or being around my child that thinks like that. i don't care who it is.
so here are some pics of my awesome little man from the last few weeks!

4th weekend
my aunt is in town which makes me so happy! it sucks i have to go to work and can't play like all the other times she's in town.
this year we got to spend another 4th of july weekend together. it's a little tradition i guess. we were all together for the holiday before my wedding and all except for last year when we went to knoxville.
saturday we went to hudson's. our most favorite place to shop! we've found so many good deals there in the past. i bought work clothes one year and they were so awesomely cheap...and it was from speigel.
right before i had thomas, we went and i found so many baby things! our pack and play and bassinet...got both for the price of 1. also many other baby things that came in handy.
found cute xmas things...you name it we've found good deals!
this time was no different! we rounded a corner and a baby changing table caught my eye. i went to check it out and it was a few swings and a few bouncers, 3 strollers...all looked like they were from a fire sale. don't need any of those, but i found a step 2 cozy coupe. you know the little red and yellow cars....sweet! it was kinda darky smokey color. i pushed it over by my mom and realized the dirt was coming off on my hands.
it was 40% off...sweet! mans is in love with his new car. in fact he wanted to get in it when it was all dusty dirty. i ended up pushing him around the store as he rode in the car. LOL he was really cute and funny.
it took about 15 clorex wipes to get it clean, but it was so worth it! price for a new one is $56.99. i paid $36! yay!
thomas also got some of those little cardboard books so he can't destroy the good books.
i'm still excited about my find and thomas has been sitting in it all weekend.
today i decided to clean up. i got the kitchen cleaned. i got tired of looking at all the crap still out from the superbowl party! lol
next was the den. that was pretty easy. took all the toys out of the pack and play and put them in a cute little bin. pack and play is being put up. little mans can climb out of it.
i started to get the dining room clean, but realized that's mostly boy's crap. and he was working on his crap in the "computer room". i need to take over that room and make it my craft room. the computer in there doesn't work anyway. LOL
it's been 2.5 years we're in the house and there's still so much to do!
we've already tackled the banana trees. i wish they'd just die already. we're tackling the cactus with round up. they're slowly starting to die. it'll be nice to get our yard back. crazy ass bitch that planted all the "tropical" stuff.
now to get boy to tackle the garage. :D
