middle of the night

i can't sleep. i fell asleep for about an hour and a half and here it is...3.20 am and no sleep. ugh.

the weekend went by so fast. always seems to when i'm with my loves. we went to make groceries this weekend and went to eat out for dinner for dan's b-day.

thomas has been so funny lately. he has had the giggles and we don't know why, but he's falling over laughing. baby giggles are so cute and funny! he's also still in love with my yellow broom. i caught him stealing it from the garage when i went to do laundry. lol who knew that was such an awesome toy?!

i'd love to figure out how to get him to stop pressing the dishwasher buttons. we have seriously clean dishes. LOL he also wanted to press all the buttons on the washer and dryer. he'll be a good house husband with all of this.

nothing much else going on. it'll be busy for the next few weekends, b-day party, imagination movers concert/show, dan's cousin in town, nerd game marathon for boy.

i wonder if there'll be a weekend where i won't have to leave and wear a bra...that would be awesome!

can't wait!!

it was a pretty crappy week at work. i feel they are taking advantage and making me do their shit while they don't do anything, but come in late and then take an hour or more lunches. not cool bitches.

but then on thursday i got some good news!

we're going to disney world!!

staying at a rented house with dan's dad, stepmom, 2 stepsisters and their men for the week of oct 2-9. it's the opening of the food and wine festival at epcot. YUMMY!

so while work was shitty, i could think of all the things i love down in WDW...

• cheddar cheese soup from canada at the food and wine festival

• sampling ALL of the food from the food and wine festival kiosks

• festival of the lion king and nemo the musical shows at animal kingdom

• tough to be a bug/tree of life at AK

• character breakfasts/dinners

• fireworks!

• it's a small world...even though it's going to be closed when we're down there :(

• yo ho yo ho!

• krystal burgers on the way down! mmmm!! (i'm still looking for the receipt from the super yummy one)

• driving for 10 hours and getting more excited to be in FL where there is actual shit to do and places to go shopping that isn't just disney stuff

• passion fruit margarita at san angel inn in mexico @ epcot.

• the super yummy grand marnier lemony slushie in front of france @ epcot

• being with my boys

• pushing a stroller up inclines...feel the burn on those calves!

• TOY STORY MANIA at hollywood studios

• buzz lightyear's space ranger spin and kicking boy's ass!

• walking up main street and seeing the castle

• villians float in the main street parade

• buying t-shirts

• finding stuff for thomas

• watching thomas with ducks at world showcase!

• watching thomas flirt with the princesses

• walking over 3 miles a day

we're excited!!

my 2nd mother's day!

friday nite was hilarious at my house. thomas LOVES the broom. he went and dragged it out of the garage when i was doing laundry. here's a few pics...i love sushi's expressions. she knows her brother is special. LOL

mother's day was really good! i got a new camera battery! yay! the original battery has been dying a slllllllow death for about a year now. i also got some really pretty red roses. i'm told they smell really good also, but i can't smell them.

also got a lemon tree. well i thought it was a lemon tree. it has what looks like little lemons starting to form...

but looking at it, my mom noticed it has 3 tags on it. lemon, orange and grapefruit. so i'm hoping that maybe it was grafted on there. it actually looks like it and i bought it from a local nursery and not a box store. if it's not lemon, then i guess i'll just have to get a lemon tree later on.

dan, thomas and i took mom out for mom's day. we went to zydeco's and ate some seafood. mmm! yum! it's a pretty decent little place in belle chasse.

later that evening though, thomas decided to split his lip. did a faceplant on the den floor. screaming. blood. horrible.

if that wasn't bad enough...he decided he didn't want to go to sleep, so he crawled around our bed and clocked himself in the head with the footboard. had a little split by his eye.

AND he's teething.

weekend

the weekend was a pretty good one. slept, went for cracklin's, went to the playground and to natalie's wedding. slept s'more and made groceries.

cracklin's were ok. they aren't as good as the ones in baton rouge. adrian's cracklins are some good shit! they're usually hot out the fryer too! stop by their little portable bldg next time you're in BR. off of foster and government st.

playground was fun! all thomas did was climb the stairs on the play thing. it was super windy, so the hot mugginess wasn't too bad. besides the stairs, he loves the swings.

but what i don't get...he was on the little kids play thing. all these damn older kids came and started playing on it. the ginormous play thing for their ages was empty. i hate stupid parents that don't tell their kids shit. especially when they're trying to run over the kid that the play thing was made for. stupid fucktards. next time i will open my big mouth to those yuppie parents.

so if ya'll want to chip in...we have a big enough yard for a ginormous play thing...you can get that for thomas for his birthday....

the wedding was nice. so happy for nat. ceremony was nice, reception was fun. food was yummy!! even got to dance with my cute hubby! thomas had a great time! he was flirtin' with all the girls! the food was yummy too! shrimp, fried shrimp, catfish, pasta, crab salad, fried brie (dan's in love with that!), cheese, and mini crabcakes. those and the shrimp were the best. the cake was haydels. i don't have anything nice to say about them. ever. especially since i had a choice of them or 2 other places for my wedding and they hung up on me when i told them the wedding date. so yes, haydels, you can go screw yourself.

city parks' botanical garden was a great place for a wedding. really pretty!

gonna go watch stuff dan and i taped all week long. ahh...chillin' on a rainy sunday, because i can't go work in the yard.
