allergic

the only thing i really hate about being allergic to everything is not being able to use bandaids. omg it really does suck. 


when i use bandaids i'll have the marks for longer than i have the booboo for. much longer. much much longer. even the sensitive bandaids don't work for me. yeah, it sucks. 


so tonight i did an awesome trick shaving. i sliced myself really good on the ankle. and here's what us poor allergic folk do to stop a massive-i've-hit-a-blood-vessel-gushing-nastiness of blood....  

This would be a cotton ball and paper tape. one was enough, but dan said i needed an x. ahh...the joys of shaving. 

and now hopefully i won't be left with a lovely little psoriasis spot afterwards.

fridge

i can't wait until tuesday when we should hopefully have our full fridge back. ugh. it's annoying not having a fridge! 


the error message comes on, then goes off. don't want to put anything good in there incase it goes out. at least right now it's cold and my sprites are cold. it's also still making ice. 


i'm guessing the sensor is fucked up somehow and there's really nothing wrong with it. damn technology. 


so glad we had gift cards the last 2 days to eat out! chili's was really good. the last time i was there...has to be at least 4 years ago, it was pretty crappy and service was horrible. friday nite was really good. the fried shrimp were awesome with the tequila lime sauce. dan's chipotle coated chicken crispers were even good! the corn on the cob dan had was awesome, i could have had a few more ears of that. lol


then last nite we went to eat at phil's grill in metairie with the twins. had never been there and it as excellent! i'd go back there anytime! the chicken wing app was yummy. i dunno what they did to those wings, but they were so good. the burgers were excellent. especially since you could make your own. mmmm blue cheese dressing, shredded cheddar, onion crisps and bacon. mmmm! ooooh and if you go, try the peanut butter shake. OMG. i coulda had 2 it was so good. 


tonight we're going to ihop. breakfast for dinner! yay! 

can you say birthday?

so monday was my 35th birthday! crazy! it was a great day. cake. king cake. tempura at cafe zen. iphone 4. chocolate. and checks. score! 


only thing is, i hated my b-day on a monday. it feels like the week just dragged the hell on. 


i never thought 3 pm would ever come today. had our 3rd meeting with early steps. thomas scored above average in gross motor skills. i guess that means he's not as uncoordinated as i am! that's awesome! 


the problem is speech. dunno why. so we have 1 more meeting next week and he should be able to start the following week. then once a week for an hour for our speech sessions. 


i love my little mans so much! <3  he's so sweetly sleeping on the sofa. so is sushi. she's having a running dream, her paws just keep moving. she's such a funny girl. both so rotten! vester is the good one, but he won't come in here with all of us. 


need to go get dinner and pick up my shot from mom's house. our fridge has a er FF. yup... er FF is on our fridge. it's not cold. and i'm such a genius telling my awesome hubband to call the store where we bought it to find a repair man. guess what?! we were smart enough to buy the extended warranty! yay!!! 


we should have our fridge fixed tuesday! so for now, it's the ice chest. 

holiday season...

happy new year! just a little late. 


the holidays were great with thomas. he loved everything santa brought. the favorites were his laptop, lightsaber and the chuck racetrack. oh and super why stuff. what he still hasn't seen is the swingset santa brought that's still in the box in the garage for when it gets warmer. 


i can't wait until next year. when he'll really be into the whole unwrapping presents thing. he opened 2 and when he saw it was super why, he just stopped unwrapping! we sat forever for him to open stuff.  


we went to toys r us thanksgiving nite for 10 pm.waited an hour to get in and then it took 2 hours to get out! but we got a swingset for $75! and a few other things on sale. i think i'll stick to cyber monday's from now on. that was way too crazy for me! 


thomas had a great 2nd birthday. we had a golf themed party since that's what he's into. golf party and watched the saints game. thomas was interested in playing with his putting green. friends and good food were the best! 


especially loved having peggy in town! 


also had a great time with my family the day after christmas. laughing, food and presents! 


i also had another 1st in Dec. it was a year that i had been to the dermatologist. a YEAR!! in the 5 years i've had psoriasis, that hasn't happened. and it only took a month for united and the dr's office to get all the shit straight for my medicine. united still fucking sucks. 


i'm so glad they want to play dr. with their patients lives. assholes. i keep wondering if they are going to pay for everything when they want to lower the dosage of medicine the dr says i need when i can't work. probably not and that's why they all need to come down with something horrible and be denied and have a slow horrible painful un-medicated death. 


but now it's my b-day monday! yay! 35. 10 years ago i had the chicken pox. LOL 


and then this coming summer we're going to baltimore for amber and rick's wedding. YAY!! so excited! plus we're taking thomas to hershey park. got to get in a theme park visit before he turns that magical 3. i wish it was disney, but that'll be next year.


i'm already doing research on diner's drive-ins and dives for our drive up. that show constantly makes me hungry! mmmm guy!


but now i must go run some errands and watch the saints kick some seahawk ass. two dat!
