yesterday was pretty rough. thomas turned 16 months old...how'd that happen?
the 1st of major scrapes and bruises happened yesterday when i wasn't here. :( thomas, sushi and mom were outside on the back patio. sushi decided to go crazy as usual, her normal let me take off like a bat outta hell and run giant circles around the giant cactus growth. well her take off involved knocking thomas to the ground...on the cement. glad it's smooth cement and not the rough stuff, cause he'd look even worse. the right side of his face is all scrapped up. cheek, eyebrow, forehead, elbow...some bacatracin...because we have no neosporin in the house since i'm allergic to it...shut up! i'm allergic to everything...seems to be doing well. he seemed to be fine yesterday, mom was shaken up. poor mom. of all the days i didn't go home for lunch.
he was doing alright cause we went to the hornets thank you party. mom of the year award...i pushed his stroller right thru the door where the sign said NO MINORS ALLOWED! i don't think 16 months is too young to start him out in a barroom...he is from new orleans after all!
we all had spinach dip and some sort of pork with flavorings...i think it was the chili sauce and grape jelly. it was decent. thomas loved it. we got to see marcus thorton and darren collison. sadly my boyfriend, aaron gray, wasn't there. thomas did flirt with the whorenets...i mean honeybees. i wanted crawfish, but boy waited to long to go get it....it was sold out! well at a $1/lb, people were buying like crazy!
i think the most amazing part of it all was finding a spot and having no problems leaving the cbd. and no tourists standing in the middle of the street. that's my favorite. especially when they look at me...in the big suv barreling down the street...like i'm the one who has lost my mind. if only i could hit them like in a video game. dumbasses. i don't go to your city and stand in the middle of the street. i don't care how cool our architecture is, get out of the street!
we're off to a crawfish boil tomorrow...guiness world records is supposed to be there cause they think they're going to break the record of most crawfish sacks in like 3 hours time.
